Of course, she wanted to be like all teen girls and wear those bags to the mall, school, etc but her life had taken a tragic route or at least she thought. She was now a teen mom and with her newfound responsibility and her senior year of high school coming up she needed a way to avoid working a full-time job and of course, she needed more income. Delisha placed those purses on online market sites and within a day the items sold! She took the money from that success and invested more money into purses which led to wigs and hair products. With her success from selling on marketplaces, she decided to launch her hair store. But with business comes failures but never letting the ups and downs stop her she graduated from Harvard with a degree in African arts and archeology. She found a new appreciation for hair, and learning her ancestors prided themselves on their styles pushed her even more. Despite the constant rejection and roadblocks Delisha remained committed to her vision and affirmed herself all the time by continuously saying yes to her dreams and knowing that this is God’s gift to help others embrace their styles and uniqueness.
